ANDRE IGUODALA

So today, somebody shared this article with me from SI magazine, about Andre Iguodala. In it, he talked former All Star Allen Iverson, Sixers Fans, and also some of his teamates. He said things like Philly fans don't respect defense first players, and how he had to clean up the mess after A.I. left. Then he went on to talk about teamate Lou williams and how he's a great player but "can't guard anybody." I'm going to just be honest from the jump. Everybody can have an opinion and I respect that, but Andre Iguodala doesn't have any room to talk anything...IN MY OPINION! First off, Nobody, and I mean nobody cares about Iguodala being a defense first player. The city of Philadelphia cares about winning the chip. The last time I checked, we haven't been to the finals since 2001, and that team was led by one of the greatest Sixers ever, Allen Iverson.  His defense wasn't the best, but the guy sure as hell knew how to score, and he was a great team leader. You can point out the fact that Iverson didn't have nearly as many talented teamates as Iggy has and he managed to still help the Sixers go further than the first round of the playoffs. As far as defense goes, I won't throw him under the bus but againts top players in the league, his defense is suspect. Not to mention he's a terrible freethrow shooter in the 4th quarter. On a sidenote, a few weeks back at Allstar weekend 2012 (Which happened to be his 1st Allstar game out of his 8 seasons in the NBA), Iggy had a interview where he said he felt as though he should've been voted in the Allstar game a few years before. I wish I could explain to ya'll how hard I laughed! I mean think about it, can you honestly believe that he felt he should have been on the "Allstar" team? The nerve of this guy. The Sixers haven't made it out of the first round with this guy, who is overpaid I should mention, and he thinks he should be a Allstar? Lebron, Wade and Bosh make 95 million. Iggy makes 10 million less than them. He's not even in the same league as them. Does he deserve all that money? Hell no! I'd rather give Lou Will or Evan Turner more money. The only reason I think he got all that money anyway is because the big wigs at the top of the Sixers organization at the time got caught up in the hype over him being the new "A.I." to describe how Philly fans view Iggy up perfectly, I gotta quote Hov..."Had a spark when you started but now you just garbage". The Sixers are currently 29 - 24, and are on a 2 game Losing streak. As of April 7th, we are the seventh seed in the eastern conference. Right now, your focus should not be on doing in depth interviews on your views and feelings about anything surrounding the Sixers. Get out your Drake bag. Focus on bringing this city that pays you 85 million a championship, then you can talk. Until then, get a journal...NUT!
